Clara Lim

Deputy Director, Design And Interpretation, Dadu Children’s Museum Of Qatar at Qatar Museums Authority

Clara Lim has a diverse range of work experience in the museum and science communication field. Clara began their career in 2002 as a Programme Officer at the Singapore Science Centre. Clara then worked as an Exhibition Project Officer at At-Bristol and later at the Glasgow Science Centre. In 2007, they became an Archives and Collections Project Officer at the Glasgow School of Art. From 2008 to 2012, Clara served as the Interactive and Temporary Exhibitions Manager at Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum. Clara then worked as the Interactives and Interpretation Manager at the Birmingham Museums Trust from 2012 to 2013. Clara also had a freelancing role as a Consultant in Science Communication and Visitor Research in 2013. Clara joined Qatar Museums in 2014 and held multiple positions, including Head of Interpretation at QCM and currently serves as the Deputy Director for Design and Interpretation at Dadu Children's Museum of Qatar.

Clara Lim obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, where they attended from 1997 to 2001. Later, in 2007 and 2008, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Science Communication at the University of the West of England. In 2011, they furthered their education by completing a PgCert in Child Development from The Open University.
