Malak Hassan has extensive work experience in the field of project management and cultural diplomacy. From 2013 to the present, they have held multiple roles at Qatar Museums, including Head of Project Management for Exhibitions & Commissions in the Doha Design Biennial, Chairperson's office. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2023, they served as a Senior Exhibitions Project Manager at the same institution. From 2013 to 2017, they worked as a Project Specialist in the Cultural Diplomacy Department at Qatar Museums. Before their time at Qatar Museums, they worked as a Community Outreach Specialist at Mathaf Arab Museum of Modern Art from 2011 to 2013 and as a Gallery Assistant at Saatchi Gallery in 2011.

Malak Hassan pursued their Master of Arts degree in Cultural Policy and Management from City, University of London, from 2010 to 2011. In addition to their academic achievements, they also acquired several certifications, including Legal Writing from the British Legal Centre in July 2020, PMP® Certification Training Course from HNI - Human Network International in December 2019, and CIVILISATION FRANÇAISE: histoire de l'art et des littérature Française from Cours de civilisation française de la Sorbonne / Fondation Robert de Sorbon in August 2018.
