Andrew Wong

Andrew Wong serves as the Senior Director and Head of HR Asia Pacific at QIAGEN since June 2010, where responsibilities expand to overseeing a team of 20 HR professionals and achieving certification as a "Great Place to Work" for subsidiaries in China and the Philippines. Previous roles held include Senior Director for Global HR Development, focused on succession and talent management, and strategic HR Business Partnering for Global Sales and Global Service. With a strong foundation in organizational learning and development, Andrew introduced innovative frameworks such as the updated 9-Box grid and the 70:20:10 model for career development. Educational achievements include an Executive MBA from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in molecular virology and life sciences from the National University of Singapore, respectively. Andrew's career began with an internship at KK Women's & Children's Hospital, followed by research assistant roles at the National University of Singapore.
