Carlos Medina Temme

Carlos Medina Temme is a Technical Product Owner and Development Lead for Computer Vision at QIAGEN, focusing on AI industrial defect detection and developing chatbots and knowledge bases. Previously, Carlos served as a Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist at QIAGEN, contributing to projects in manufacturing, technical service, and marketing using data science and AI. Prior experiences include a PhD Machine Learning role at Bosch, a Machine Learning Engineer position at Smarter.ai, and a project at GMV developing a machine learning demonstrator for GNSS systems. Carlos holds a Master of Science in Data Science from EPFL and completed a master thesis at the University of Oxford. Additional education includes a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science from the University of Tübingen and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with Neuroscience from the University of Sussex.
