Erich Peterson

Erich Peterson is a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at QIAGEN since May 2023, where responsibilities include collaborating with large biotech companies to achieve bioinformatic research objectives and developing bioinformatic pipelines. Previously, Peterson served as Bioinformatics Lead and Assistant Professor of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences from September 2012 to May 2023, overseeing molecular profiling analyses at the Cancer Institute. Additional experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Associate role focused on high-throughput sequencing and cancer computational biology, as well as serving as Chief Technology Officer at Labscoop. Educational accomplishments include multiple degrees in Computer Science, culminating in a PhD from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
