Jaimala Patel

Head Of Strategic Research & Analytics, Global Infrastructure at QIC

Jaimala Patel has a diverse and extensive work experience in the finance and investment industry. Jaimala started their career as an Analyst in Research & Strategy at LaSalle Investment Management in 2000, where they worked until 2004. Jaimala then joined Citi as an Assistant Vice President in Investment Research & Strategy from 2005 to 2007. Following that, they worked at DWS Group, initially as a Vice President in Research & Strategy- Alternatives & Real Assets from 2007 to 2015, and later as a Director in Quantitative Strategy- Alternatives & Real Assets from 2015 to 2017. From 2019 to 2022, they held two different roles at QBE Insurance, starting as a Senior Portfolio Manager in Group Investments and eventually becoming the Head of Real Assets in Group Investments. Currently, they are employed by QIC as the Head of Strategic Research & Analytics for Global Infrastructure, starting in 2023.

Jaimala Patel completed their undergraduate education from the University of Chicago, earning a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree. During their time at the University of Chicago, they pursued studies in Economics and South Asian Studies from 1996 to 2000. Following this, Jaimala attended Columbia University, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences from 2004 to 2005.
