Matthew Reed has a diverse work experience in the retail and property sectors. Matthew started their career at MYER, where they worked in various roles including Assistant Store Manager, Allocation Analyst/Category Specialist, Sales Manager/Team Leader, and Retail Salesperson. In 2012, they joined QIC as a Brand iQ Sales Manager, responsible for experiential advertising sales. Later, they became a Retail Leasing Executive at QIC's Grand Central Shopping Centre, overseeing a major redevelopment project. In 2020, they transitioned to a Senior Property Analyst role within QIC's Analytics team, focusing on managing the impacts of COVID-19 on tenants. Throughout their career, Matthew has received recognition for their work, including a nomination for the 2020 Frank Lowy Fellowship and QIC's CEO Outstanding Achievement Award.

From 2008 to 2012, Matthew attended the University of Southern Queensland where they pursued a Bachelor of Business degree with a major in Marketing.

In 2012 and 2013, Matthew enrolled at Deakin University to complete a Graduate Diploma in Property.

Returning to the University of Southern Queensland, Matthew pursued further education and obtained a Graduate Diploma in Business Research from 2014 to 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Matthew also obtained several certifications. Matthew became a Certified Model Builder from Anaplan in October 2021. Matthew further enhanced their skills and became a Certified Solution Architect from Anaplan in May 2022. Matthew's latest certification is the Certified Master Anaplanner, obtained from Anaplan in May 2023.
