H.E Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail is the Saudi minister of municipal and rural affairs and housing and the chairman of the Real Estate General Authority. He has led the efforts to implement the affordable housing initiative of Vision 2030. He serves as chairman of the boards of several government and private entities, including the Real Estate Development Fund and the Saudi Real Estate Refinance Company. He was formerly the deputy finance director at the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) and the chief executive officer of Rafal and has served on the boards of Bank Al Jazira, NAS Holding, Credit Suisse Saudi, and WAFA Insurance. He has an MBA from the University of Illinois, USA, and is a certified public accountant.
