Ghee Chuan Lai

Ghee Chuan Lai is an Associate at Qiming Venture Partners specializing in healthcare investment and portfolio management since February 2023. Previously, Ghee held several positions at A*STAR, leading as Head of MedTech/Diagnostics/Digital Health from March 2017 to January 2023, focusing on strategic partnerships and tech commercialization. Earlier roles included Assistant Head positions in MedTech and Biomedical Sciences, fostering public-private partnerships, and serving as a Research Fellow at the Singapore Immunology Network, where Ghee led significant projects and collaborations. Ghee's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Harvard University and a B.Sc. (Honors) in Chemistry from the University of Chicago. Ghee's research experience spans various institutions, including contributions to Alzheimer’s disease studies and biophysical modeling in neuronal cells. Ghee also served as a combat medic in the Singapore Armed Forces.
