Bridie Barry is a seasoned media and communications professional with extensive experience in journalism and broadcasting. Currently serving as a Senior Media and Communications Advisor at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute since March 2022, Bridie has previously held key roles at Nine News Queensland as a Reporter and at Australian News Channel (Sky News) as a News Presenter & Journalist, where significant contributions included co-hosting a live property news program and providing commentary on economic news. Bridie's early career involved positions at BBC News, ITN, and WIN Television, where skills in news production, presentation, and audience engagement were honed. Bridie holds a Postgraduate Degree in Business/Public Relations from Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Government from The University of Queensland.
