Gordana Rasic has diverse work experience in the field of mosquito genomics and control. Gordana is currently working as a Team Head & Senior Research Fellow at the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, where they lead a team studying natural mosquito populations and generating genomics data. Prior to this, they were a Senior Research Officer at the same institute. Before joining QIMR Berghofer, they worked as a Research Fellow at the Bio21 Institute, Department of Genetics, The University of Melbourne. Gordana also briefly served as an Assistant Professor at The University of Western Ontario and as a Teaching Staff Member at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Biology. Additionally, they gained experience as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Biological Research "Sinisa Stankovic".
Gordana Rasic obtained their education in the field of biology. Gordana pursued their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Genetics from the Faculty of Biology at The University of Belgrade, Serbia, between 2002 and 2005. Afterward, they continued their education at Western University, where they completed their Ph.D. in Biology from 2006 to 2011.
