Gregor Devine

Group Leader, Mosquito Control Laboratory at QIMR Berghofer

Gregor Devine is a seasoned entomologist with extensive experience in vector biology and mosquito control. Since July 2013, Gregor has served as Group Leader at the Mosquito Control Laboratory of QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute. Prior to this role, Gregor was the Director of Medical Entomology at the Department of Health in Queensland, overseeing teams focused on controlling malaria and arbovirus transmission. As a Principal Investigator at Ifakara Health Institute, Gregor managed a significant grant related to mosquito ecology, while previous roles at Rothamsted Research involved research on mosquito behavior, ecology, and insecticide resistance. Gregor's foundation in entomology was established with a PhD from Imperial College London, complemented by an MSc in Pest Management from the same institution.
