Mathias Kroll Ph.D. M.B.A. (IMD) GAICD has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Mathias most recently served as the Chief Commercial Officer at the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer of InProTher, an immunotherapy company focused on developing adaptive immune therapy for targeting immunosuppressive genes in cancer. Mathias also held the position of Board Director at Abarceo Pharma, a company dedicated to developing therapeutics for type-2 diabetes.

Mathias Kroll Ph.D. M.B.A. (IMD) GAICD has an extensive education history. Mathias obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Viral Immunology/AIDS from Institut Pasteur between 1996 and 1999. Prior to that, they completed a Master's Degree in Chemistry at the University of Düsseldorf from 1990 to 1996. Mathias also received a Bachelor of Science (M.Sc.) in Biology from the University of Düsseldorf from 1991 to 1995.
Furthermore, Mathias attended Helmholtz-Gymnasium for their high school education from 1981 to 1990.
In terms of further studies, they completed a full-time M.B.A. program at IMD in 2005. Mathias also pursued Executive Education in the Corporate Finance Series with a focus on Accounting and Finance at the London Business School from 2012 to 2016.
Mathias has also participated in a Master of Science (MSc) exchange program with the University of Düsseldorf at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Aside from their formal education, Mathias obtained certifications in Hazardous Chemicals Management in 2000 and Genetic Engineering Project Leadership. In addition, they are a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
