Patricia Valery

A/Prof Patricia Valery is an accomplished researcher currently serving as the head of the Cancer & Chronic Disease Research Group at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute since July 2015. Valery has successfully led several population-based studies focusing on cancer and chronic diseases affecting Indigenous Australians. Prior to this role, Valery worked as a Senior Research Officer at Menzies School of Health Research from July 2011 to June 2015. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Epidemiology and Public Health from The University of Queensland, a Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology from the same institution, and a Medical Degree from Faculdade de Medicina Fundação ABC.
