Vijayendra Dasari

Vijayendra Dasari is an experienced Vaccine Development Scientist at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute since 2008, specializing in the development of subunit vaccines and recombinant viral vector vaccines targeting various human viruses. Prior to this role, Vijayendra served as a PhD student focusing on vaccines against human herpes virus, and worked at AstraZeneca in India as a Research Assistant, contributing to drug discovery against Mycobacterium Tuberculosis along with gene cloning and protein expression. At Bharat Biotech International Limited, experience included gene cloning, protein expression, fermentation, and animal studies. Earlier, Vijayendra worked as an R&D Chemist at Natco Pharma Limited, concentrating on formulation development and bulk drug manufacturing. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Viral Vaccines Development from Griffith University and a Master’s in Biotechnology.
