Andy Armstrong C.eng

Andy Armstrong C.Eng has extensive work experience in safety engineering and consulting. Andy started their career at QinetiQ in 2000, where they held various roles including Principal Safety Consultant and Senior Systems Engineering Consultant. In these roles, they led teams, reviewed deliverables, and provided technical expertise for aircraft projects. Andy also served as a Programme Manager, overseeing a team responsible for aircraft engineering design and installation projects. In 2013, Andy joined Edif ERA as a Principal Consultant and Team Leader. Andy then returned to QinetiQ in 2015 and held positions such as Chief Engineer of the Safety Engineering Group and Group Lead Safety Engineering. In these roles, they were involved in line management, recruitment, strategic development, and independent assurance reviews. Andy's work experience demonstrates their expertise in safety engineering, technical assurance, leadership, and project management.

Andy Armstrong C.Eng has a BSc Hons in Materials Engineering from Aston University, which they obtained from 1979 to 1982. Andy then pursued an MSc in Physics from The University of Salford, spanning from 1983 to 1984. Lastly, they completed an MSc in Safety Critical Systems Engineering at the University of York, from 2005 to 2010.
