Brian Carr has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Brian began their career as a Computer Programmer at ACL in 1993. Brian then joined JPMorgan Chase in 2000, where they held multiple positions including Project Manager, Deputy Team Lead, Problem Solving and Analysis within the Operate Role, System Operations within the Operate Role, Audit within the Operate Role, and Cost Reduction within Operate Role. During their time at JPMorgan Chase, they successfully managed software application upgrades, conducted team meetings, trained and led knowledge sharing sessions, and developed and implemented procedures for application releases and upgrades. In 2016, they transitioned to Southampton City Council as a Project Manager for a brief period before moving to Bournemouth Water Ltd as a Billing Administrator. In 2017, they joined Cobham Mission Systems as a PMO Analyst, where they supported project managers, administered the PMOS system, and assisted with monthly reports and organizational charts. Most recently, in 2021, Brian joined QinetiQ as a Principal Project Controller.

Brian Carr attended Thompson Rivers University from 1987 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Programming and Computer Studies. Brian then continued their education at Thompson Rivers University from 1988 to 1991, specializing in Computer Systems: Operations and Management, with a focus on Programming and Management. In addition, Brian Carr obtained certifications in Managing Your Time and PRINCE2 Fundamentals from Lynda.com in May 2016. Brian also has certifications in ITIL Foundation and PRINCE2 2009 Foundation and Practitioner from AXELOS Global Best Practice and APMG-International respectively, although the dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
