Emily Hewitt

Emily Hewitt is a skilled naval architect currently employed at QinetiQ since September 2020, having advanced from the role of mechanical engineering graduate to associate naval architect. Prior experience includes an engineering product reliability internship at Worcester Bosch, where responsibilities involved managing robustness and lifetime testing and drafting detailed test reports. Emily also worked as a technician at JTL, conducting safety audits and overseeing personal projects, including the deconstruction and reconstruction of an airflow rig. Early career experience includes service as a barista at Taylors Oxford. Emily holds a Master of Science in Naval Architecture and Maritime Engineering from the University of Southampton and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (Hons) from Oxford Brookes University.
