Autumn Szczepanski

Autumn Szczepanski is a dedicated Naval Architect currently employed at Saronic Technologies since September 2023, serving as a Responsible Engineer for the Cutlass project. Prior experience includes working at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division from August 2020 to September 2023, focusing on concept design and design integration. Autumn also contributed to the development of object recognition software for underwater remotely operated vehicles during a graduate internship at the University of Michigan College of Engineering from May 2019 to August 2020, while gaining proficiency in artificial intelligence, deep learning, and computer vision. As a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan from August 2018 to August 2020, theoretical materials on decision-making in planing hull design were created, and a new course on conceptual vessel design was developed. Previous internships include mechanical part design at Chris-Craft Corporation and earlier work at Quantum Sails. Autumn holds both a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan.
