Hugh Maddison

Hugh Maddison is a Senior Program Manager at QinetiQ, overseeing nine projects within the Electro-Magnetic and Digital Programme since September 2021. Previously, Hugh held the role of Programme Chief Engineer at the Royal Navy and served as Marine Engineering Training Capability Manager for the Royal Australian Navy. Hugh's extensive experience with the Royal Navy, spanning 17 years, includes leadership positions such as Deputy Staff Marine Engineer Officer, Head of Department on HMS PORTLAND and HMS CLYDE, and staff roles focused on safety policy and engineering support for various naval operations. Educated at the University of Southampton with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Hugh has a strong background in marine engineering, project management, and team leadership.
