Ian Marrs

Ian Marrs has over 30 years of experience in scientific and managerial roles, currently serving as the Strategic Development Manager at QinetiQ since July 2008, with additional responsibilities including FM Lead for Shoeburyness, Estates Manager, and Compliance Manager. Prior to this, Ian held the position of Head of Science and School Leader at Cumbria County Council from January 2003 to July 2008, and worked as Head of Science at Doncaster MBC from September 1993 to January 2003. Ian began the professional career as a Research Assistant at Sheffield Hallam University from September 1988 to August 1991. Ian's education includes a PGCE in Physics from The University of Sheffield and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Materials and Micro-structural Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University.
