Richard Bentley Meng Ceng

Richard Bentley MEng CEng is an experienced aerospace professional with a strong background in engineering, management, and operations. Currently serving as the Head of Science and Research Operations at QinetiQ since February 2015, Richard leads a team of 40 and oversees the delivery of strategic sites across the UK. Previous roles at QinetiQ included Group Lead for Power Sources and Drivelines, and Senior Avionics and Mission Systems Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed managing test facilities, compliance, and functional assessments for aircraft performance. Richard's engineering expertise is complemented by a significant tenure at Lockheed Martin, focusing on systems engineering and radar integration for the Merlin Mk II project. Additionally, Richard has held leadership positions within the Royal Aeronautical Society and holds degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Flight Test Engineering.
