Uttio Roy Chowdhury

Dr. Roy Chowdhury leads the preclinical and translational research for Qlaris Bio related to the KATP channel modulator platform.

Prior to joining Qlaris Bio, he was Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic where he managed and executed pioneering research with Prof. Michael Fautsch in preclinical animal and human models on the effect of KATP channel modulators on intraocular pressure.

Dr. Roy Chowdhury holds a PhD from Jadavpur University, an MBA from the University of Minnesota, and both an MS and BS in Zoology from the University of Calcutta.
