Jan Schimmel

Jan Schimmel is a production and test engineer at Qnami. Jan previously worked as a physicist at Universität Ulm from November 2018 to April 2022. While at Universität Ulm, they were responsible for high power CO2 laser machining of micro sized structures at the Institute for Quantum Optics. Jan also worked as a Master's student at the Institute for Quantum Optics from August 2020 to November 2021, where their topic was "Fabrication and Characterization of Optical Resonators for Quantum Optics Experiments". Prior to that, they worked as a Bachelor's student at the Institute for Quantum Optics from September 2018 to March 2019, where their topic was "Investigating Electron Phonon Coupling of SiV- centers in nanodiamonds".
