Ygene Poon

Ygene Poon has over 10 years of experience in the business and marketing field. Ygene began their career in 2010 as Manager of Operations at Reload Cafeteria Sdn Bhd, a caterer to AirAsia Berhad. In this role, they were responsible for the operations, human resource, purchasing, and marketing of two locations, with a total of 3000-4000 pax daily. In 2013, Ygene moved to Nouvelle Events Sdn Bhd as Manager of Catering & Sales, where they set up and headed a new department for catering sales, sushi making workshops, delivery, and other company events. Ygene then joined i-Creative Inc in 2015 as Manager of Marketing for the Malaysia Kitchen USA Inc division. Here, they managed the restaurant and worked closely with MATRADE and Tourism Malaysia in NYC for the Malaysia Kitchen Program. Finally, in 2017 Ygene became Asst. Vice President of Business Development (APac) at Qoobex, a global patented 3D VR Cloud Broadcasting Platform from New York. In this role, they were responsible for the global 3D network that allowed millions of people to watch and share natively created 3D entertainment content, as well as the global 3D VR Monetization Platform for VR producers and advertisers.

Ygene Poon earned an Associate's degree in Mass Communication - Public Relations and Events Management from Han Chiang University College of Communication between 1998 and 2000.
