Nick Conolly has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Nick started their career as a Software Engineer at Computer Associates and then moved on to Dialog Information Technology, where they worked as an IT Consultant and Senior Developer. At Dialog, they played a key role in designing and implementing core components of the PUMA system and led the development of the PC Editor and Blackhawk monitoring system.
Nick then joined Blue Reef, a technology company focused on providing online safety solutions for schools. Nick served as a Lead Developer, contributing to the development of their UTM platform, Sonar, and cloud reporting platform, MyNet. Blue Reef was eventually acquired by Tesserent, where Nick continued to work as a Chief Technology Officer. Nick played a crucial role in the implementation of the MyNet technology and the development of a unified filtering platform for the education sector.
Later, Nick joined SMS Management & Technology as a Consultant and Solution Architect, where they provided technology consulting services primarily in Australia and Asia. After this, they founded Gamu Apps, a mobile applications startup specializing in iOS app development. Nick's achievements at Gamu Apps included creating popular apps like OzLocal News and iSource Browser, which received recognition in the App Store.
Nick returned to the education technology sector when they joined Linewize US as a Vice President and Architect. Linewize aimed to empower school communities with digital safety tools, and Nick played a significant role in innovation, architecture, and product design. Nick then moved to Qoria as a Vice President in various roles, including leading the global engineering team, fostering an innovative culture, and staying ahead of emerging technologies.
Throughout their career, Nick has worked with various technologies, including Golang, Java, Scala, iOS, Android, and web development frameworks. Nick has demonstrated strong leadership skills, driving innovation, and delivering market-leading solutions.
Nick Conolly completed a Bachelor's degree in Arts & Science at UNSW from 1992 to 1995. From 2002 to 2006, they pursued a degree in Software Engineering, specifically an MIT, at Swinburne University of Technology.
