Dan Allison

Dan Allison has over 30 years of experience working in various positions related to system engineering, product development, and algorithm development. Dan has worked for companies such as General Electric, Applied Biosystems, and Lycoming Engines, where they managed teams of engineers and developed signal and image processing algorithms for SONAR, RADAR, and DNA sequencing instrumentation. Dan has also worked as a VP of Professional Services at Discovery Machine, where they led product development and project management. Currently, Dan works as a Program Manager at QorTek, where they manage schedule, cost, and scope on a variety of power supply and amplifier electronics for DoD applications. Prior to this, they owned Cascade Systems, LLC, where they provided system engineering consulting and algorithm development services for companies involved in R&D and new product development.

Dan Allison completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University in 1986. Later that same year, they began their Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Syracuse University which they completed in 1989. In 2000, they attended Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis to study Cell Biology and Anatomy. In terms of additional certifications, Dan has various LinkedIn courses in project management, Microsoft Excel, and interpersonal skills.
