Simon Shaw

Simon Shaw is a highly experienced professional in the field of chemistry, currently serving as Senior Director at Qpex Biopharma since June 2024. Previously, Simon held various leadership roles at Rigel Pharmaceuticals Inc. from May 2008 to July 2024, including Executive Director and Senior Director of Chemistry, as well as Senior Scientist in Chemistry. At Kosan Biosciences from August 2001 to March 2008, Simon contributed as a Senior Scientist in Chemistry. Early career experience includes a Postdoctoral Researcher role at Princeton University, where Simon worked on carbohydrate synthesis and vancomycin derivatives. Simon Shaw earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Imperial College London and a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Bristol.
