Michael Schaefer

Michael Schaefer has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Michael started their career as a Soldier in the Bundeswehr from 1983 to 1986. Michael then worked as a Senior IT Project Manager at AEG Aktiengesellschaft from 1987 to 1995. From 1996 to 1997, they served as the Deputy Head of Global Corporate Finance IT at Deutsche Bank, where they managed desktop and server projects. Michael later became the Head of IT Operations Global Corporate Finance in London from June 1997 to December 1997.

From 1998 to 2005, Michael worked at Deutsche Bank in various roles, including Head of CIB Messaging EMEA, Head of IT Infrastructure/Client Manager, and Global Head of Client Demand Management. Michael was responsible for managing relationships with clients, overseeing project delivery, and introducing new technologies.

In 2005, they joined UBT Australia and New Zealand as the IT Director, responsible for IT infrastructure services. Michael then moved to Kiwibank in 2016 as the Enterprise Delivery Manager for a short period.

Michael joined Vodafone in 2017 as a Senior Service Delivery Manager, where they managed service delivery operations until November 2021. Michael then joined Qrious Limited, where they initially worked as a Delivery Manager from November 2021 to April 2022. Michael currently holds the position of Service Delivery Director at Qrious Limited since November 2021.

Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, technical expertise, and a focus on delivering quality service and cost benefits.

Michael Schaefer completed an Associate's Degree in Information Technology at Schule fuer Datenverarbeitung, Giessen from 1986 to 1987. Michael also obtained an Associate's Degree in Accounting and Business/Management from Theodor-Heuss-Schule, Wetzlar from 1979 to 1982. Prior to that, they attended Gesamtschule Schwingbachtal for high school from 1972 to 1978. Additionally, they hold certifications in Agile Team Facilitation and Agile Fundamentals from ICAgile, obtained in 2023. Michael also obtained the ITIL V3 Foundation certification in 2009 and the International Project Management certification in 2007.
