Ashwin Fernandes

Dr. Ashwin Fernandes is a prominent figure in the higher education sector, currently serving as Executive Director for Africa, Middle East & South Asia at QS Quacquarelli Symonds since April 2012. With a robust background in supporting universities and educational institutions, Ashwin has held multiple leadership roles, including Regional Director and Head of Client Relations, where Ashwin focused on international brand building for universities. Additionally, Ashwin serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees for QS ImpACT in India and is the CEO of QS I∙GAUGE, India's first nationwide higher education rating system. Prior to joining QS, Ashwin gained experience in sales and operational roles within the advertising and software industries. Ashwin holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Management from Amity University, an MBA from Ulyanovsk State University, and a degree in Commerce from Goa University.
