Your mission will be to integrate and refine testing strategies, ensuring the software not only meets our high standards for functionality and performance but also delivers a seamless and impactful user experience to the academic community. By collaborating closely with both development and operations teams, you will bridge the gap through DevOps practices, enhancing the continuous delivery pipeline and implementing automated testing solutions that drive efficiency and precision in our release cycles.

Role responsibilities:

  • Set up and manage automation frameworks for efficient and accurate testing processes, reducing manual effort and increasing the coverage and speed of tests.
  • Work closely with the DevOps team to integrate QA processes into the continuous integration and delivery pipelines, ensuring that quality checks are an integral part of development and deployment workflows.
  • Utilize advanced testing tools and platforms to conduct thorough web browser compatibility and usability tests, ensuring the application performs optimally across various environments.
  • Monitor application performance, identifying bottlenecks and collaborating with developers to implement solutions that enhance speed, efficiency, and user experience.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of testing plans, processes, and outcomes, providing clear reports and feedback to the development team to guide improvements.

Key skills and experience:

  • Strong knowledge of React, JavaScript, and NodeJS, with the ability to understand and test complex web applications.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices, with experience in integrating QA into continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience in setting up and managing automation testing frameworks, particularly Selenium, to streamline testing processes.
  • Proficiency with web browser testing tools like BrowserStack, enabling comprehensive cross-browser and cross-platform testing.
  • A broad skill set that supports API testing, performance testing, regression testing, load testing, and unit testing, ensuring a thorough validation process for all aspects of the application.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset, capable of identifying issues and crafting effective solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams using agile methodologies
  • A commitment to continuous learning of the latest technologies and testing methodologies, ensuring the application leverages cutting-edge practices for quality assurance.
