Mikko Marsio

Mikko Marsio is the current director at Qt. Mikko has previously worked as the SVP, global head of digital and software business, process industries at ABB from April 2017 to August 2020. In this role, they were responsible for global leadership (sales management, digital marketing, solutions portfolio development, partnerships) for digital and software business to generate growth covering Pulp & Paper, Metals, Mining, Aluminum, Cement, Datacenters, and Food & Beverage industries. Under their leadership, the company saw sales growth of +300%. Mikko was also a member of Process Industries Global leadership team.

Previously, they worked at The Qt Company from 2010 to 2016 in various roles including Head of R&D, Chief Product Officer and Executive Vice President.

Mikko Marsio has a long history of working in the technology industry. Mikko has a passion for digital transformation and has been a leader in this space for many years. Mikko is an expert in IT-OT integration, data platforms, AI/ML analytics, asset management, future control room with collaborative operations, operations improvements, etc.

Mikko Marsio has a Master's in Mechanical Engineering and Business management from Aalto University. Mikko also has executive education in Marketing Management from Columbia Business School and Internet business strategies from MIT Sloan Executive Education. Mikko is also a Second lieutenant (Officer in reserve) in recoinnance and guerrilla warfare from Reserviupseerikoulu - Reservofficersskolan - Reserve Officer School.
