Freya Hartshorn

Freya Hartshorn is a dedicated postgraduate research student at Quadram Institute since September 2022, previously serving as a scientific research assistant at Inspiralis Limited, where expertise in topoisomerases, ligases, and helicases was gained. Freya's experience includes a role as a tissue culture laboratory technician at Tropic Biosciences, contributing to the development of sustainable tropical crops through genetic editing technologies. Prior positions include serving as a healthcare assistant at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and an undergraduate project student at John Innes Centre, focusing on enzyme activity. Freya holds a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of East Anglia, complemented by participation in several research and summer school programs in plant science and developmental biology.
