Roxana Zamudio Zea is a Research Scientist at Quadram Institute since April 2019, working within Dr. Alison Mather’s group. Prior to this role, Roxana served as a Research Associate at the University of Leicester from January 2016 to April 2019, focusing on the project "Genetic Admixture and Host-Pathogen Interactions in Helicobacter pylori Infection," which included six months of fieldwork in Cape Verde for sampling and isolation of Helicobacter. Roxana holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Genetics from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, obtained in 2015, and a Master's degree in Genetics from the same institution, completed in 2011.
