Thomas Edison Yu

Thomas Edison Yu has a diverse work experience in various technical roles. Thomas Edison started their career in 2009 as a Design Engineer at Renesas Electronics Corporation, where they were involved in designing and verifying CPU IP cores and peripherals. From 2011 to 2015, Thomas worked at Cadence Design Systems as a Senior Sales Application Engineer and later as a Lead Sales Application Engineer, focusing on front-end verification technologies and formal verification. Thomas Edison then joined Cryptography Research in 2015 as the Director of Field Application Engineering, providing technical sales support for cryptography-related products and services. In 2021, Thomas became the Director of Technical Business Development at EAGLYS Inc., responsible for driving technical business development initiatives. Currently, they are the Japan Field Applications Manager at quadric.io, where they help customers achieve their machine learning and data processing goals and supports business development activities.

Thomas Edison Yu received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Ateneo de Manila University, with a focus on Physics, from 1996 to 2001. Additionally, they earned a Certificate in Information Science from Nara National College of Technology from 2002 to 2005. Later on, they pursued further education at Nara Institute of Science and Technology, obtaining a Master of Engineering degree in Information Science from 2005 to 2006, followed by a PhD in the same field from 2006 to 2009.
