Gareth Jones

Gareth Jones has over 30 years of experience in analytical chemistry and management within the chemical industry. Currently serving as Senior Manager for EMEA Analytical and UK Laboratories at Quaker Houghton since September 2019, Gareth previously held multiple roles at Houghton Plc, including Technical Director and Senior Analytical Chemist, where responsibilities included providing analytical support and managing research projects. At Thor Specialties, Gareth developed biocide and personal care products while also training staff and maintaining research data. Earlier career experience includes analysis of food, water, and soils at Melling and Ardern. Gareth holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied and Analytical Chemistry from Salford University and various leadership and project management certifications, including a PRINCE II foundation certificate. Active membership with BSAC since 1997 reflects a commitment to the profession.
