Deborah Barrett

Deborah Barrett is the VP & Chief Compliance Officer at Qualcomm. Prior to their current position, they were with T-Mobile from August 1999 to March 2008 as the Regional Director (MW), Engineering - Development. There, they oversaw all 2G and 3G network deployment projects, including site acquisition, zoning, construction, property mgmt., regulatory compliance and external affairs for 12 Markets in T-Mobile's Midwest Region. Before T-Mobile, Deborah worked at Sprint Nextel from August 1997 to August 1999 as the Sr. Property Specialist. There, they oversaw all aspects of network site development for the Chicago, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Omaha and DesMoines Markets. Her responsibilities included oversight of site acquisition, zoning, permitting, regulatory compliance, local affairs and property management.

Deborah Barrett has a Master of Science in Business Ethics and Compliance from the New England College of Business, a Bachelor of Arts from Dominican University, and certifications from Athena in Athena - Board Service Training and Certification, the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) as a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional - International (CCEP-I), and OCEG as a GRC Professional (GRCP).

Their manager is Ann Chaplin, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Qualcomm Incorporated. They work with Laura Sand - SVP, Legal Counsel, Fabian Gonell - SVP, Licensing Strategy & Legal Counsel, and Liren Chen - SVP, Global Head of IP, Legal Counsel.
