Math Modeler at Quallion

Kevin Mooney is an experienced professional in the field of physics and engineering. Currently serving as a Math Modeler at Quallion since July 2010, Kevin specializes in modeling electrochemical systems to predict characteristics of lithium-ion batteries, as well as designing particle filters for real-time internal parameter tracking. Prior to this role, Kevin worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where tasks included designing a thermosiphon for studying pool boiling and heat transfer. Kevin's earlier experience as a Research Assistant at the University at Buffalo involved specific heat measurements of helium mixtures, SQUID magnetometry research, and managing a SQUID facility. Additionally, Kevin has experience in computational projects, Linux system administration, and teaching fundamental physics courses. Kevin holds a PhD in Physics from the University at Buffalo, completed in 2006.
