Chris Elia

Chris Elia is an experienced professional in substation relay protection and control, currently serving as the Substation Relay Protection and Control Lead at Qualus Power Services since January 2019. In this role, Chris ensures proper completion and scheduling of substation construction projects to maintain grid integrity, while also reviewing project scopes and making necessary corrections. Prior experience includes a similar role at Technical Diagnostic Services, focusing on commissioning and testing substation systems, as well as an extensive tenure at American Electric Power as Substation Protection and Control Principal Technician. Chris began a career in electrical maintenance at OSRAM and holds an Associates degree in Electronics and Electricity from Central Kentucky Tech.
