Josh Hermonson

Josh Hermonson has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Josh is currently working as the Director of Engineering at Qualus since 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Engineering at Ferreira Power Group LLC from July 2017 to August 2023. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing various engineering projects and providing engineering/design support for clients such as Florida Power & Light, Pacific Gas & Electric, and Entergy. Josh also worked as an Engineering Manager at Ferreira Power Group LLC from July 2017 to July 2022, where they led a team and ensured high-quality engineering projects within budget and on time.

Before joining Ferreira Power Group LLC, Josh worked at MasTec from June 2013 to August 2017. Josh started as an Electrical Distribution Design Engineer in February 2011 and later became the Design Lead & Quality Control Specialist from September 2011 to June 2013. In these roles, they reviewed, analyzed, and corrected aspects of engineering designs, with a strong focus on design drawings, inventory, requirements, permitting, and environmental concerns. Josh also served as the Manager - Engineering at MasTec from June 2013 to July 2017, leading a team of Distribution Design Engineers and ensuring accurate engineering designs.

Josh's early work experience includes working as an Engineer II at Florida Power & Light Company from June 2007 to August 2010. In this role, they served as the company's point of contact for new construction design and resolved existing customer concerns, consulting with customers of all sizes and negotiating engineering designs to meet their requirements.

Josh Hermonson attended the University of Florida from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
