James A. Carelock III has a diverse work experience starting in 2012. James A. began their career at 1919, Inc as a Corporate Trainer, where they performed direct sales representative duties for Verizon. James A. also reviewed applications, interviewed applicants, and trained new employees. In 2014, they moved on to QualX Corporation as a Junior Declassification Analyst, conducting initial declassification reviews for the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Department of the Navy. James A. then progressed to the role of Quality Control Analyst, conducting final reviews for declassification of classified documents. From there, they became a Workflow Manager and then a Deputy Project Manager, before ultimately being promoted to Project Manager. As a Project Manager, they supervised a team of Junior and Quality Control Analysts, conducted interviews for new hires, and contributed to monthly status reports and contract status presentations. James A. also conducted final automatic and mandatory declassification reviews and identified equities for declassification recommendations. Throughout their various roles, they demonstrated leadership, organizational skills, and expertise in declassification processes.
James A. Carelock III earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Government from Christopher Newport University, where they studied from 2007 to 2012. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Security+ from CompTIA in May 2023 and February 2023, respectively. James A. also earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in April 2022, and the Certified Records Manager (CRM) certification from the ICRM - Institute of Certified Records Managers in March 2022.
