Shane Mansfield

CRO at Quandela

Shane Mansfield is the current Chief Revenue Officer at Quandela, a quantum computing company. Prior to Quandela, Shane was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellow at Sorbonne Université from September 2017 to August 2019, where they led the ResQu project developing a resource-sensitive approach to quantum computing. From September 2013 to December 2015, Shane was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford, working on the Networked Quantum Information Technology hub and the Oxford Martin School's programme on Bio-inspired Quantum Technologies. In January 2017, Shane took on a Postdoctoral Researcher position at the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh, developing a foundational approach to applications for emerging quantum technologies in the team of Prof. Elham Kashefi. Shane then returned to Paris as a Chercheur postdoctoral at Paris Centre for Quantum Computing from September 2019 to September 2020, before taking up their current role at Quandela.

Shane Mansfield completed a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics (Joint Hons) at University College Cork. Shane then went on to complete a Master of Science in Physics at University College Cork before completing a Master of Advanced Study in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge. Shane Mansfield is currently completing a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science at the University of Oxford.
