Simone Piacentini has held various roles in the field of optics engineering since 2017. In that year, they worked as a Master Thesis Student at the Politecnico di Milano. Simone then moved to the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche as a Research Fellow in 2018, and also worked as an External Consultant for the Mondadori Group that same year.
