Quansight has its roots in the Python data science community. Our founders have had significant involvement in creating and maintaining NumPy, SciPy, Jupyter, Spyder, Dask, Conda, Numba, and other projects, as well as PyData NumFOCUS, and Anaconda. Our mission is to connect companies to open-source communities to create sustainable solutions that benefit the whole ecosystem.

Position Overview:

Seeking a dynamic and results-driven sales executive for our consulting business. Executive Director of Sales, you will be responsible for building a robust network of clients, driving revenue growth and sales strategies. You will be key in prospecting new clients to ensure we meet or exceed our sales targets This role is crucial for our continued expansion and success. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth.
  • Prospecting: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship building. Focus on generating new leads, closing new deals, and converting them into long-term clients.
  • Sales Targets: Achieve sales targets, ensuring consistent performance and growth.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, sales engineers, and marketing to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives. Provide feedback on market trends and demands and customer needs.
  • Expectation that this role will expand into sales leadership

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in a senior sales role, preferably within the consulting or open-source software industry.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing and growing a sales team.
  • Excellent prospecting and networking abilities, with a history of generating new business.
  • Open source or services based experience with existing customer relationships preferred
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels within an organization. 
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools, preferably Pipedrive.

Where can we hire?

Our engineering team is entirely remote. Our headquarters are in Austin, Texas, and a good portion of our team is U.S. based. We also have a significant presence in Europe, South America, and Asia. We will consider applicants anywhere (overlap with U.S. and Europe time zones is preferred).
