Peyton Murray

Peyton Murray's work experience includes the following roles:

Senior Software Engineer at Quansight since May 2021.

Software Engineer at Voltaiq from October 2019 to May 2021. In this role, Peyton was involved in full stack development, building a scientific data storage, processing, and visualization system. They helped bridge the gap between battery scientists and the development team, bringing quantitative insights and engineering rigor to the platform.

Postdoctoral Researcher at Tampere University from January 2019 to May 2021. Peyton's work involved computational approaches to understanding domain wall motion in magnetic materials. They used Golang and Python, designed simulations, analyzed large datasets, generated data visualizations, and published results in peer-reviewed journals.

Graduate Student Researcher and Physics Grad Student TA at UC Davis from September 2012 to December 2018.

Junior Specialist - ATLAS Experiment at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from July 2011 to May 2012.

Live-In Mentor at Saint Mary's College of California from August 2010 to May 2011. Peyton acted as a role model, mentor, and tutor for fellow students in the Science & Honors Living Community. They provided drop-in tutoring and assistance in physics and mathematics.

Research Assistant, ALFALFA Collaboration at St Mary's College Physics Department from January 2010 to May 2010. Peyton observed galactic and extragalactic hydrogen regions and performed data analysis as part of an international research team.

Student Tutor at Saint Mary's College of California from January 2009 to May 2010. Peyton assisted students with math and physics, collaborating with peers and tutors to find solutions to various problems.

Peyton Murray completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics from the University of California, Davis, from 2012 to 2018. Prior to that, Peyton earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics, with a study emphasis in Physics and Mathematics, from Saint Mary's College of California, from 2007 to 2011.
