Marc Tremblay

Marc is a Distinguished Engineer in Azure Hardware at Microsoft, where he is the chief architect for the silicon and system roadmap for Artificial Intelligence in cloud computing. He is an innovative thought leader in custom silicon, a prolific inventor of high performance commercially successful processors, has published multiple journal and conference papers, and presently holds over 200 patents. Prior to Microsoft, Marc was SVP and CTO of the Microelectronics business unit at Sun Microsystems where as a Sun Fellow he was instrumental in the design of several microprocessors generating tens of billions of dollars in system revenue. He was also responsible for the technical leadership of 1200 engineers. He received a Physics Engineering degree from Laval University in Canada and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Sciences from UCLA.
