Jean-Francois Roy is a seasoned game designer with extensive experience in various development roles across the gaming industry. Currently serving as a Game Designer at QUANTIC DREAM since November 2022, Jean-Francois has previously worked as a freelance game designer from September 2020 to November 2022, providing consulting services to clients including Frima and Miscallaneum Studios. Prior experience includes positions at Bkom Studios as Senior GPP focusing on combat design for "Zorro: The Chronicles," and roles at PLAYMIND and LuckyHammers involving game progression and combat mechanics. Jean-Francois co-founded Rebelius Studio inc. and contributed to multiple projects, including a finalist game at Microsoft’s Dream Build Play contest. Early career highlights include lead design roles at A2M, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft Montreal, and Microids, where Jean-Francois worked on notable IPs such as "Spore Heroes," "Splinter Cell," and "Rainbow Six Vegas." Education includes a degree in Computer Science from Maisonneuve College.
