Luis Torres Chuquilin

Luis Torres Chuquilin has been working in the tech and data science fields since 2012. Luis is currently employed at Quantico Trends as a Data Science, Software Architecture, and Full Stack Developer, a role they began in 2021. In 2020, they founded and served as Director of AI UDEP. Luis was also a Data Analyst and Manager of Volunteering and Society Department at Universidad de Piura from 2017-2020. During their time there, they developed a web application for the management of volunteers and students' organizations, and presented the results of a Biodigester Project to international scientists from the UK. Additionally, they were a Data Science at the Automatic Control Systems Laboratory and Energy Laboratory from 2017-2020. From 2012-2019, they founded and held various positions at Social Projects, including Cuenta Un Cuento Desde Casa, Una Carta Dos Corazones, Yo Te Ayudo Con El Cole, Por Piura, Minka Piru, JUVECO Junta Vecinal Comunal, Hatun-Runa, and Social Projects- Jovenes por Piura. Finally, they served as a Delegado at Youth Congress for Sustainable Americas in 2019.

Luis Torres Chuquilin attended the Universidad de Piura from 2011 to 2017, where they obtained an Ingeniero Mecánico-Eléctrico degree in Ingeniería Mecánica Eléctrica. During their time at the Universidad de Piura, they also completed a Capacitación en Suplain Chaing Managment. “La productividad de las Pymes” dirigido por el MIT SCALE. in 2017, a “Por una reconstrucción de Piura alineada a estándares interacionales de dirección de proyectos” from “PMI Cajamarca, Peru Chapter” in 2017, a Startup - Emprendimientos program in 2017, an Asistencia al Congreso Internacional de Ingeniería Eléctrica, Electrónica y Computación “INTERCON”. in 2016, and a Curso de Simulación de Sistemas Eléctricos de Potencia “DigSilent” por la Facultad de Ingeniería in 2015.
