Adam Ollanik

Lead Physicist at Quantinuum

Adam Ollanik is a Sr. Advanced Physicist specializing in nanophotonics at Quantinuum since January 2022, focusing on the design and integration of nanophotonics for trapped-ion quantum computing. Prior to this role, Adam served as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Colorado Boulder and NIST from June 2019 to December 2021, collaborating on an ARPA-E funded project to enhance thermoelectric device performance through nanophononic metamaterials. Adam gained research experience as a graduate student in the Escarra Research Group at Tulane University from August 2013 to May 2019, concentrating on photonics and photovoltaics. Early in the academic career, Adam worked as an undergraduate research assistant at Brandeis University and held internships at Power Tagging Technologies and Safety Research and Strategies, where contributions included technical documentation and automotive safety research. Adam holds a PhD in Physics from Tulane University and a BS in Physics from Brandeis University.
