Tomoji Kawai

Scientific Advisor at Quantum Biosystems

Tomoji is our senior scientific advisor. A specially appointed professor at the Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research, Osaka University (ISIR), Tomoji’s specialty is single-molecule analysis technology. He is the lead researcher on the Kawai Project, formally known as Research and Development of Innovative Nanobiodevices based on Single-molecule Analysis, which receives governmental support from the FIRST program. The Japanese government has invested thirty million dollars in the FIRST Kawai Project since 2009. The single-molecule analysis technology of this project is the core technology of Quantum Biosystems. Tomoji was awarded his doctorate in Chemistry by the Department of Science at the Graduate School of the University of Tokyo.
